If you’re getting hitched, you will need to draw up a list of what you need to do – as well as work out how much you’ll be spending.

Wedding invitations are an obvious one, but have you considered what other wedding stationery you might need or want?

Save the date

Firstly, you may wish to send out a ‘save the date’ card. These have exploded in popularity in recent years, and give guests some advance warning of your impending nuptials, before the wedding invite proper. If you don’t want friends and family to miss out, these are a must.

RSVP

Enclosing an RSVP card with your invitations ensures most guests will complete and send it off to you. It is a thoughtful touch, as it makes life just that little bit easier for your nearest and dearest.

Order of service

This is pretty much essential for a church wedding, so your guests can follow and join in with proceedings. For a non-religious service, it may also be useful – and does help to theme your big day.

Place cards

Again, a must-have. How else will your guests know where to sit?

Menu

This is optional, but does give your guests a flavour of things to come. It may also serve as a reminder for any guests with special dietary requirements to check they receive the right dish.

Thank you cards

A note of appreciation to your guests for their attendance and generous gifts is de rigueur. Matching these to the other stationery can serve as a lovely reminder of your fabulous day too.
