The news is finally in that Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash will be exchanging vows this summer.

Originally known for her appearances on The X Factor in 2009, Solomon has become a household name in more recent years thanks to her regular panellist role on ITV’s Loose Women. Her groom-to-be, Swash, shot to fame in 2003 playing the character Mickey Miller in the long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders.

Neither Solomon nor Swash have previously walked down the aisle, although both have children from previous relationships. Solomon had two sons and Swash had one son prior to the couple kindling their romance in 2016. They share a 22-month-old son together named Rex.

The happy couple announced their engagement in December, after Swash popped the question on Christmas Eve during a woodland walk close to their home in Essex, where they have lived together since 2018. Solomon immediately took to the social media platform Instagram to share the happy news with her fans, but at the time, no date was set for the big day.

It’s now been confirmed that the wedding ceremony has been booked for July, although the venue’s location and specific numbers of attendees have yet to be decided, as well as the finer details, such as wedding stationery or the style of dress.

Solomon has revealed that she’s enjoying making preparations for her special day, and that she’s thinking positively about COVID restrictions being fully lifted by the summer so the celebration can take place without any setbacks.
