Through her brand called Draper James, award-winning actress Reece Witherspoon has launched her own range of wedding stationery with a Southern flavour.

The range includes a full complement of over 40 items of wedding stationery. Save-the-date wedding cards, programs and menus, thank you cards, not to forget the essential wedding invites are all readily available.

This wedding stationery collection is a new collaboration between Draper James and the wedding company Zola. Jennifer Spector, Director of Brand at Zola, stated:

“We’re thrilled to announce that our first ever wedding paper collab is with Draper James, our couples continue to ask for more and more invite designs, and these elegant suites add some charming Southern flair to our already robust collection”

The name of Witherspoon’s lifestyle brand, Draper James, is designed to honour her grandmother Dorothea Draper and grandfather William James. This lifestyle line is inspired by, and a celebration of, her upbringing in the Southern US state of Louisiana.

This Southern style is highly visible in the stationery available, where gingham print borders and magnolias in bloom are both present. Western-style fonts and country fair ribbons and banners are used stylistically to infuse the stationery with the charm and warmth of The Deep South. There are simple designs with classic calligraphy too, and some designs featuring colour photography.

The range was made with three kinds of bride in mind according to Draper James – the classic bride, the modern bride and the Nashville bride.

This shows that the wedding invitation market is growing and celebrities are getting involved, but many prefer the bespoke touch that comes from professionals.
