American actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg’s grand-dog – the pet of her daughter Alex Martin-Dean – has officially tied the knot.

The lavish celebrity ceremony that took place at Milk Studios saw Martin-Dean’s dog Filmore and his bride Izzy the Frenchie walk down the aisle to Mendelssohn’s traditional wedding march. Izzy the Frenchie is owned by entertainment promoter Rick Hendrix and is a star in her own right with over 129,000 followers on social media.

The amorous Filmore was caught on camera kissing his bride. Shot by celebrity photographer Timothy White, the canine couple are in esteemed company, with White’s other portrait work including The Obamas, Aretha Franklin and Beyoncé.

In early January, Goldberg gave a glimpse of the beautiful bespoke wedding invitations through Instagram. Featuring gorgeous gold foil script on rose pink card, the stunning stationery set the tone for the elegant puppy nuptials to follow.

While Filmore wore a special tuxedo created by fashion designer for pets Anna Konkhova, Izzy wore an opulent Dior dress with a train that was six feet long and was assisted by Emmy award winning makeup artist Karen Dupiche.

The wedding reception saw family and friends of the pups share in their happiness with a menu of surf and turf treats from salmon and steak slices, to tuna tartar. The dogs had their first dance to Etta James ‘At Last’ and second to ‘Puppy Love’.

The happy couple will share their time between Izzy’s home up in The Hamptons and Filmore’s residence down in sunny California.
